*Held in McCoy Street, Waikerie on Sunday 1st October from 4pm, the Waikerie Street Festival, promises to be a relaxing family friendly event, featuring great food, wine and entertainment.
There will be 2 stages, the Main Stage kicks off at 6pm.
First up, The Teresa Law Band, present the best of bluesy soul and contemporary acoustic roots. These accomplished musicians are locals from the Riverland and are a very popular here.
Next up will be the very beautiful Kelly Menhennett who is a national award winner singer song writer and also an ex Riverlander. She is a captivating live performer and has a voice once compared to a cross between Erma Franklin and Etta James.
To finish the evening, no less than The Steve Brown Band, this will be their third time performing in Waikerie and are back by popular demand. The Steve Brown Band won the 2017 ARBA Memphis Blues Challenge, and will be off to Memphis in early 2018! Steve’s voice has been likened to Joe Cocker and is known to lead his band of cutting edge musicians on a different and exciting path down the blues highway every time they play.
On both the main stage and the second stage we will be introducing Tilly Malwald, she is a singer song writer from Langhourne Creek whom at the age of 18 started performing at large events such as the Last Post Ceremony at Menin Gate Belgium. She received an Outstanding Student Award for her Certificate 111 in Music, Song writing, recording and performance at Music SA.
The Second Stage will have the local Waikerie couple Anne and Ben, performing cover songs. They are very relaxing and enjoyable act and are always welcomed by the Waikerie Community.
